REQUEST FOR A SPECIAL MEETING OF ELECTORS  (Print and post hard copy back to Don Yates)

1.     To the Mayor of the Town of Bassendean under section 5.28 of the Local Government Act 1995,
        the electors of the Town of Bassendean whose names, addresses and signatures are set out in the
        attached list and who comprise 100 electors request that a special meeting of the electors of the
        district be held.

2.     The details of the matters to be discussed at the special meeting are:

        A.  All matters related to the undergrounding supply of energy (including electricity and gas)
             that may directly or indirectly effect the users of energy in the Town of Bassendean, including
             commercial and domestic end users, and may include roll out timetables, co-locating with other
             services, all streetscape issues, including footpaths, footpath lighting and street trees, protection
             of all reserves, ovals, parks and park-like areas that may be sources of landfill gas energy supply
             and any other matters, including renewable energy matters, deemed to be included by a simple
             majority of the Special Meeting of Electors at the same Special Meeting of Electors.

       B.   The financial aspects and costs of all of the above and any other matters that may have
             immediate, medium and long term imposts on the ratepayers of the Town of Bassendean, extending
             to any new or revision of services to be started and/or continued on by the Town of Bassendean,
             both within and outside the Town of Bassendean.

        C. Methods, procedures and related processes that require the elected councillors, CEO and staff
             of the Town of Bassendean to do more than just accept the recommendations of the Special
             Meeting of Ratepayers, but to be accountable to all ratepayers, possibly by appropriate referenda.

4.     We, the undersigned, request that a special meeting of electors of the Town of Bassendean be held.

                An elector may be one of the following:
        A.    A resident owner or occupier enrolled to vote at State Elections,
        B.    An owner or rateable property ( example: an absentee land owner or an       
                owner of business premises, vacant land or other non-residential property),
        C.    An occupier of rateable property, (example a tenant of business premises
               or other non-residential property).
